Looking back through old posts can be so much fun. Not only is it a great reminder of the year but it also shows you how much you've changed, evolved and grown. I wanted to create this blog of my Top 10 favourite fashion/beauty moments of 2012. I hope that you like it and that it can inspire you for the New Year （＾ｖ＾）
1: Let's Talk Pastel Goth
Pastel Goth is a Style Group that really took off this year. It's one that I've been looking at a lot and it's fast becoming one of my favourite styles. Pastel Goth blends pastel, soft sweet colours and textures with hard, gothic edges. It's perfect for people who love the cute and creepy side of life and aren't afraid to STAND OUT ^_^
2:When Cute Mixes With Creepy
Finding artwork that you really connect with is an amazing and rare feeling. I've been interested in Japanese Lolita Artwork for quite sometime and this year I found out about Tama. Tama specialisies in Lolita style artwork but with a very creepy and disurbing twist...
3:Pastel Spring Collection by Liz Lisa
Even though my own personal style is far from the floaty dresses in the picture, I will always love Liz Lisa and keep coming back to it. There's just something very special in Liz Lisa clothing that will always keep me inspired and passionate about style. Their Spring Collection for 2012 has been one of favourites so far!
4:Lush's Emotional Brilliance
If you read my blogs a lot, you'll know that I'm a HUGE fan of Lush! I cannot say enough good things about this company so when they brought out their brand new makeup line I was beyond excited! Of course, Lush did not let me down, their makeup is beautiful!
This year, I was inspired by the amazing Minori and her Shiro-Nuri makeup and style. I found it really difficut to find inspiration this year, I felt like a lot of fashion and the fashion industry had just become a diluted mess BUT I should know that in Tokyo, you can always be inspired by something fresh!
6:The Secrets Of The Little Black Jacket
Chanel is a firm favourite of mine in the High End Designer World! The story of Chanel is facsinating, the attention to detail, the quality of each piece, it's all just very beautiful. This year, Chanel celebrated their Little Black Jacket and brought out a very tasteful and elegant video to show us the secrets of this famous Jacket.
7:Tony Moly Cosmetics
Being an animal lover, I make sure that whatever cosmetics I use are not tested on animals. I can't change the world but it's just something I care deeply about. Tony Moly was a new discovery for me this year, an organic, cruelty free cosmetic company from South Korea ^_^ They have the cutest packaging and the kindest products!
8:Pearl Kitty Ears
One of my favourite trends of 2012 was Kitten Ears. Cat's definitely took over Fashion this year and I was very happy about that! These cute pearl kitty ears came from Tokyo and now you can pretty much get them anywhere and in so many different styles (=^_^=)
9:Japanese Tattoo Tights
Another super cute trend of the year was these Tattoo Tights! They came in all kinds of different styles, from cute to more traditional old school tattoo styles.
10:Hyper Japan 2012
This was my favourite fashion memory of 2012! I was lucky enough to attend Hyper Japan in November and had the best time! I saw so many different styles, so many colourful and creative people. Hyper Japan (for those who don't know) is the UK's biggest Japanese Culture Event. They hold so many amazing shows from Fashion to traditional Japanese food, lots of different stalls and talks. It was a truly amazing experience and I'm looking forward to going back! I also want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Rich and all of Buzznet for supporting me during this event and for everything you guys did!
So, there's my roundup of 2012! I really hope that you enjoyed this post and that you can draw some kind of inspiration for next year! I'm looking forward to seeing some new trends, being inspired by Tokyo and finding myself a little more.
Thank You For Reading and Have An AMAZING New Years Eve!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
