Top 5 Favourite Beauty Products 2012
This year I've spent a little more time getting into and understanding beauty products. This ranges from skin care to hair care and makeup too! I've been experimenting with new makeup looks and researching companies that don't test their products on animals. I've found some really great products this year and I thought I'd do a little review of my Top 5 for you!
1: Lush's Decisive Liquid Lipstick

Lush launched their makeup line this year and being a huge fan of the company I had to try some of it out! This liquid lipstick is a dream product for me. I think it's really difficult to find a decent red lipstick. A lot of the reds out there have either an orange tone to them or a pink tone but this Decisive Liquid Lipstick is the perfect shade. It's bold, matte and stays on your lips all day. You don't need to worry about topping it up, all you need to do is add a little gloss if you want a more shiny effect! What makes this product extra special is that it is 100% cruelty free. Not only is the product not tested on animals but also the raw ingredients are not tested on animals!
2.Barry M Nail Varnish in Gold Glitter

I've used Barry M products for quite a while now. They are a UK based company but you can also buy from them online. They don't test on animals and they are super affordable! Glitter is a must have product for me, I LOVE glitter but it's often pretty hard to find a good glitter nail varnish. Most glitter varnishes are very translucent with only a little glitter showing on the nail. This Gold Glitter by Barry M is amazing. It's super thick and you only need two coats to completely cover your nail in gorgeous glitter! It stays on your nail for around a week and longer if you add a clear top coat!
3. Benefit BAD Gal Lash

Mascara has never been a 'must have' item in my makeup bag until now. BAD Gal lash is the ultimate mascara! It makes your lashes appear longer, fuller and darker, creating the 'False Lash' effect without needing to wear any false lashes! I actually got this mascara as a sample and I'm so happy that I did. The mascara also lasts throughout the day with a little top up at night if you're going out. The only down side is animal testing. Now, Benefit have a tricky system! They DO NOT test their products on animals however some of the raw ingredients may have been tested on animals. It's best to double check online and do your research into each product if you are interested in animal testing etc...For me, I am 100% against animal testing and will be continuing to research this company properly.
4. Superdrug's Hello Kitty Eyeshadow Palette

I'm always a little skeptical of drugstore collaborations, I find that the quality of the products suffer a lot but I have to say that I'm really impressed by this Hello Kitty eyeshadow palette. The colours are perfect for creating smoky eyes and they are also super opaque which is great if you love bold eyes! The packaging is adorable and fits perfeclty into your bag.
5. Lush's Celestial Facial Moisturiser

If I could only have one beauty product, this would be it! This cream is like a dream cream for my skin. It's a daily facial moisturiser that helps to cool, refresh and heel your skin! I use it every morning before applying makeup and it really acts as a barrier to protect my skin. Last week, I ran out and literally a couple of days of not using it, my skin felt very unhappy! The moisturiser smells like vanilla and you can even keep it in the fridge during summer to help refresh your skin.
Ok, so there's my Top 5 Beauty Products for 2012. I hope you enjoyed this review and found it helpful. If you have any question, I'd be more than happy to try and answer them!
