A Pretty Guide To Festivals
Festivals and camping are never the most glamorous of events but hopefully with this quick and simple guide, it'll leave you feeling fresh and looking pretty.
Cleansing
Waking up at a festival or during a camping holiday, you really don't have time or the space for your full cleansing routine. You need something quick and refreshing to brighten up your skin and keep it free from dirt and oil. Face Wipes are my number one choice, super simple to use and easy on the purse strings. They are refreshing and can also be used all over the body (no one wants to be using gross showers at the festivals!) My next must have item is a toner spray from LUSH called 'Breath Of Fresh Air'. I use this spray a lot during the Summer months, it keeps your skin toned and tight but it's also really cooling in hot weather.

Cosmetics
Travelling light is key so a bulky makeup bag isn't going to be great. Also, wearing a lot of makeup in the heat isn't great for your skin, so it's a good idea to change your makeup and keep it light and simple. Tinted Moisturisers or BB Creams are a perfect replacement to your usual base. It keeps your skin feeling fresh and takes two minutes to apply. Too Faced do a great BB Cream and they don't test on animals :) If you're like me and love your eye makeup, Benefit do a cute 'smokin eye' makeup kit. It comes in a tiny box and has everything you need for your eyes/brows: eye liner, eyeshadow, mini tweezers, eyebrow wax. Benefit also do a super cute lip/cheek tint which is perfect and compact.

Hair
Some people like to get small battery/gas powered hair straighteners which are perfect for camping, but to me, it's too much fuss! My advice is to start getting creative! Fake dreads are an amazing way to keep your hair looking super cool with next to no effort. You can buy them on eBay and then simply attach them to your real hair. No damage, no fuss and you're ready to rock! If you're feeling super brave, you could always buy a wig! I have a mint wig from Gothic Lolita Wigs and it's honestly the best thing I've done. You can be as creative as you like with the colours and styles and it keeps your head cool and protected from the sun. (If all else fails...a floppy hat is always a winner!)

Sunglasses
Sunglasses are a must at festivals! You don't want the sun to ruin your view of your favourite band and sunglasses are the best for hiding those 'I've stayed up waaay too late' eyes! LC By Lauren Conrad do some super chic and cute sunnies in all different styles and colours. My fave pair are the cat's eye style! You can purchase them HERE and they also have a sale on right now!

Shoes
Mud is usually something you will come across at festivals and camping! You need to be prepared for this, no cute heels or pumps! Wellies are seriously the way forward and Hunter are probably the go to brand. They have so many different colours and styles to choose from and they are the best quality!

Essentials
Ok, here's a quick check list of items that are essential for a prettier festival/camping experience:
- Sun Tan Lotion (you will be in the sun a lot so becareful)
- Toilet Paper (Just trust me on that one)
- Towels
- Water
- Deodrant and Scented Body Spray
- Hat
- Sunnies
- Comfy Clothes
- Waterproof Jacket
- Own Food (this is optional but if you're a germaphobe like me, you'll want to take your own healthy snacks)
